(Labor Day – 12/31/18)
We invite all parents to participate in the Fall Drive every year, while BCE volunteers educate our community about BCE’s mission and the positive impact our grant makes on every child in the district. The sooner and more accurately BCE forecasts donations from our parent donor base, the more volunteer resources we can focus on non-parent sources of funding.
Donations made during the Fall Drive or anytime throughout the year count towards a family’s annual campaign donation.

BCE invites you to learn more about the three Burlingame School District (BSD) School Board Trustees - Elizabeth Kendall, Lisa Mudd and Deepak Sarpangal - slated to be installed at the public meeting on December 15, 2020
School Board Trustees are locally elected public officials entrusted with governing a community’s public schools. Since the School Board plays a key role in the direction, structure, and accountability of our District, BCE is happy to offer this evening of learning and listening.
The program will focus on what motivates these individuals to serve the public as well as what beliefs and values anchor their decision making process.
Event FAQ
What is the structure of the BSD School Board? BSD has a five-member School Board. Each Trustee is elected to a four-year term. The terms are staggered so that there are rotating openings every two years. Learn more on the BSD website.
If this is an elected position, why was it not on my ballot? This is an uncontested election with three open positions and three candidates, thus it was not included on the ballot.
What topics will be addressed at this meet and greet? It is important to keep in mind that this event occurs prior to the formal swearing in of these School Board members. As such, this is not a School Board event. This is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the soon-to-be installed (or in Kendall’s case, re-installed) Trustees. We will highlight what motivates these individuals to serve the public and what beliefs and values anchor their decision-making process. Tune into the BSD School Board meeting on December 15 at 6 pm to witness the swearing-in ceremony.
