We invite all parents to participate in the Fall Drive every year, while BCE volunteers educate our community about BCE’s mission and the positive impact our grant makes on every child in the district. The sooner and more accurately BCE forecasts donations from our parent donor base, the more volunteer resources we can focus on non-parent sources of funding.
Donations made during the Fall Drive or anytime throughout the year count towards a family’s annual campaign donation.

What We Fund
The BCE Grant Funds Teachers at YOUR School!
Your BCE contributions make a positive impact on every TK-8th grade student in our school district.
In 2022, thanks to your generosity, BCE has granted our schools $2,650,000 to boost our school budget.
This year, our grant is completely funding teacher salaries:

100% of 19 teachers' salaries and
-
1.7% of ALL BSD teachers' salaries through 3 paid training days focused on the new science and math curriculums.

This funding boosts the amount received from the State of California, local parcel taxes, and federal funds.
What You Can Do:
Unlike many states that have sufficient education funding to cover the costs of a well-rounded enriched primary education, California has one of the lowest rates of education funding per student. That’s why many cities across California have an education foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation to help increase the amount of funding per student and maintain an academic experience comparable with other top schools.
It is only with your support that we can take good public schools and make them into great public schools. Every donation is appreciated and it will make a difference to all of our students. So please consider making an annual donation every fall to BCE. Please also consider volunteering your time and talents with BCE.
BCE supports all seven schools in the Burlingame School District – Burlingame Intermediate, Franklin Elementary, Hoover Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, and Washington Elementary. Without our collective support, our schools would look starkly different.
